Seoul’s Myeongdong Recovers to Pre-Pandemic Level The Myeongdong commercial district suffered a severe drop in visitors when the pandemic prevented tourists from visiting Korea, but now has finally appeared to recover to pre-pandemic levels with tourists pouring in from Southeast Asia, Japan, Europe, and all over the world. According to the Seoul Tourism Organization, there were 4,920 visitors who used the Myeongdong Tourist Information Center in March and April, a 173% increase from the same period last year.
