The first coworking space opened in Korea in 2015. While the concept of shared office spaces has long existed, coworking spaces became more common starting in 2015. That was the year Fast Five, the biggest coworking space brand, was introduced to the Korean commercial real estate market. Starting with the first office space in Seocho, it has now increased to 40 locations. In June 2021, Five Spot, a work lounge resembling a study cafe, was launched.
