Blackstone, the world’s largest private equity fund manager, has appointed Chris Kim(pictured) the former Managing Director of Angelo Gordon Korea as head of their Korean real estate sector. Blackstone previously withdrew from Korea in 2014. They are returning after seven years to re-open their Korean office. Chris Kim, who is joining Blackstone’s Korean real estate division this time around, is an early member who joined along with Steve Cha, the Korean representative of Angelo Gordon, when they entered Korea in 2006. Angelo Gordon has had considerable influence in the Korean commercial real estate market while pursuing opportunistic investment strategies.
