Houston-based developer and global asset management company, Hines, began investing in Korea in 2021. In January 2021, Hines Korea hired Lee Hyung-seop, former head of Korea investment at DWS Asset Management, to build an investment team and start investing in Korea. It has been 2 full years since this important move. Hines has rapidly built up its Korean investment portfolio over the past two years. In 2021, Hines acquired the 330,000-square-foot Namyang Logistics Center in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, then last year secured a site in Iljuk, Gyeonggi-do for a logistics center development, then pre-purchased another logistics center in Namdong Industrial Park, Incheon.
