Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), a Denmark-based specialist in green energy, has raised EUR 500 million from Korean institutional investors. CIP was established in 2012, primarily by former employees of the wind power energy company DONG (now Ørsted), and is considered competitive in terms of development and operations thanks to its many engineers. CIP has recently completed fundraising for its flagship fund, ‘Copenhagen Infrastructure No. 5’, with a total size of EUR 12 billion.
