Last year, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance established an asset management company called Hyundai Alternative Investment Management (HAIM), which is expanding its portfolio by pursuing hotel acquisitions following residential and senior housing. HAIM partnered with Hines in June to acquire a 76-unit rental housing property in Doksan-dong, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, and a 147-unit rental housing property in Jeonnong-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, for a total of KRW 67 billion for their first deal.
