On June 6, Mitsubishi Estate, among the largest real estate developers in Japan, announced its investment of EUR 600 million to acquire a significant stake in the London-based real estate asset management firm Patron Capital. Founded in 1999 by former Lehman Brothers employees, Patron Capital has traditionally established funds that pursue opportunistic strategies and has recently been increasing its influence in the market with a loan fund. Since its establishment, it was recognized for its competitiveness by raising EUR 5.3 billion from over 200 investors worldwide, including pension funds, university endowments, and family offices.
