American real estate developer and asset manager Hines set up its first real estate investment team in Korea last year. In January 2021, Hines hired Lee Hyung-seop, who was previously in charge of investment, to establish an investment organization for full-scale investment. The first investment was in a logistics center. Hines made its first investment in the Korean commercial real estate market via a logistics center development project located in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do together in another partnership with Pebblestone in April 2021.
