Seongsu-dong began to attract attention in the 2010s. The popular Daerim Warehouse opened in 2011 by renovating a former warehouse, while Jagmachi was opened in a remodeled printing factory in 2014. After that, a series of popular cafes and restaurants began opening in the area, leading institutional and foreign investors to show interest around 2020.
