In retrospect, the hottest commercial real estate deals in 2021 were the ‘Pangyo Alpharium Tower’ and ‘Seongsu-dong Emart office’ (Yeouido IFC deal has not completed yet and is therefore omitted. Pangyo Alpharium and Seongsu-dong deals have completed earlier this year). Both the Pangyo Alpharium Tower and Seongsu-dong Emart office have been sold for over 1 trillion won, and although they are not located in Seoul’s big three office districts (CBD, Gangnam, Yeouido), both Pangyo and Seongsu-dong are on the rise. They are also core (Pangyo Alpharium Tower) and development (Seongsu-dong Emart office) projects.
