The past two weeks have been dominated by a long holiday weekend where Chuseok in late September was followed immediately by Hangeul Day on October 9. Market officials, however, were bombarded with bad news at the end of both holidays. During the Chuseok holiday, concern over prolonged high interest rates in the US continued, then the global markets were shaken by war breaking out between Israel and Hamas. As financial market and geopolitical uncertainty continue, the REITs market has no choice but to see losses.
